Popped in for food after day at the beach. Dog friendly, staff were lovely! Always made sure we had everything we needed throughout out meal. Portion sizes are larger than expected and couldn't finish main course. Amazingly offered it to us to take away though! Would have bought a dessert if wasn't so stuffed. Best onion rings in the area. Would definitely go back.
Stopped in for quick lunch glad we did. Had chicken fillets and my wife chose lasagne, arrived promptly piping hot and obviously freshly made. Both meals were delicious cooked to perfection. Staff were excellent really friendly and attentive highly recommend.
We use this hotel when we travel up for work, spending 2 nights, bed and breakfast. This is a really lovely hotel and very reasonably priced. Rooms are spacious and clean, all staff are friendly and nothing is to much on request, from extra teabags, milk in your room from housekeeping, reception, the food is amazing, credits to the kitchen staff at both breakfast where the lady who serves always has a smile to the evening meal in the restaurant which is also open to the public. Highly recommend staying at this hotel, we will definitely be back
Went here for dinner last night very cozy place the food is delicious and a lovely kind waiter 5 stars for him. Definately recommend the George il be back this week again.
Food was nice, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms very spacious and clean. Only issue i had was not being able to sleep due to the noise from bar across the road. Also seems to be geared toward an older clientele.
We were staying in Montrose for a couple of nights and decided to give the restaurant in the George a try. From the minute we arrived, the service was equivalent to a 5 star establishment. The food was excellent for all in our party, including my 4 year old grandson. The portions were very generous and extremely tasty! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, you won't be disappointed
We stayed here on Tuesday night, 5 of us and we couldn't fault the place, the food, Guinness was the best the young lady ao the bar was amazing, sorry we didn't get her name, the rooms we comfortable. Absolutely no faults at all. We will definitely be back
Excellent stay. We needed a room urgently in the middle of the night and the hotel were very accommodating. Breakfast was included and had free onside parking. The gentleman on reception was very helpful.
It was our 1st evening meal out in a while. I've not eaten here for a long time. It was nice. I had a pasta dish which (for me) had far too much sauce. It was swimming in it. It tasted fantastic though. I also had the sundae & that was disappointing. The brownie had obviously been heated in the microwave & it had ended up brick hard. Others in the group were mostly happy with their meals too. Overall the feeling was that the desserts needed work. The ice cream wasn't the best but the waffle was very good. Overall it's a nice place for dinner.
We stopped here for a meal with friends before going to a film show at the playhouse it was good hearty food. A good variety of dishes some new (to me) and well worth a visit. Not a bad price either. I will definitely be back
